In patients with suspected coronary artery disease CAD contrast induced acute kidney injury AKI occurred in 6 of the patients who received coronary CTA with intravenous contrast in comparison to 13 of patients who received invasive coronary angiography with intracoronary contrast according to a study presented at ASN Kidney Week 2017 in New Orleans.
